Church of MOUNT CALVARY

Near to the Church of St.Bernardino begin the tortuous stairs that go to the Mount Calvary and that lead to the homonymous church.

It was built to keep a fragment of the Holy Cross taken from Terra Santa (Holy Land) by a member of Gervasi’s family. Its front was built towards the North after the earthquake of 1910.

Here arrives the Holy Friday Procession that starts from the Church of Immacolata Concezione and passes through the historical centre.
