SANT'ANTUONO
It’s one of the oldest church of Calitri even if on its portal is carved out a date: 1914.
It had 7 altars as Cardinal Alfonso Gesualdo described in his pastoral visit in 1565.
It was built close to the retaining wall of the town and during the centuries has been restored a lot of time.
The main altar is dedicated to S.Antonio Abate and here we

Church of
Sant'Antuono

can see the half-length statue of the saint erected by Natale’s family. There’s also a statue representing St.Gerardo Maiella, that worked some miracles during his visit in Calitri. There are the statue of St.Agnese, the Child Virgin, Our Lady of Graces and an eighteenth century painting that portrays Our Lady and St.Nicola.
Moreover we can see two paintings representing Jesus and St.Michele.
