ITINERARY
3 (pag. 3)
In
Faenzari Street there were the ceramist’s shops; they
descended from the first ones that came from Faenza and that
made Calitri well known over the centuries for this art.
Near to it there is the Church of St. Antonio Abate, built
in the sixteenth century and inside we can admire a picture
representing the Saint.
From the church of St. Antonio we go to the Church of St.
Bernardino were we can admire its eighteenth century stone-portal.
Next to the church begin the long stairway that goes along
the so-called Mount Calvary and ends to the church of the
same name, destination of the Holy Friday procession.
